Power Foundation Executive Committee Discusses Sector Priorities, Strengthening Role as Industry Think Tank

Power Foundation of India Executive Committee Meeting

NEW DELHI: The Executive Committee of the Power Foundation of India (PFI) met under the chairmanship of Dr R.K. Tyagi, Director General, PFI, to review the Foundation’s ongoing initiatives and deliberate on emerging opportunities and challenges in the power sector. The meeting was attended by Shri Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairperson, Central Electricity Authority (CEA); Shri D.N. Misra, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power; Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC Limited; Shri Bhupender Gupta, CMD, NHPC Limited and SJVN; Shri Samir Chandra Saxena, CMD, Grid Controller of India Limited; and Dr Manoj Kumar Jhawar, CMD, PTC India Limited, along with senior officials and representatives from leading power and renewable energy organisations, including PFC, CPRI, Powergrid, THDC, REC Limited, SECI and BEE.

During the meeting, PFI presented an overview of its key activities, including research studies, publications and knowledge initiatives undertaken in support of the power sector. The Committee discussed the Foundation’s role as a think tank in providing evidence-based research, policy inputs and strategic insights to facilitate informed decision-making and sustainable sectoral growth. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shri Anshuman Srivastava, Executive Director, Power Foundation of India.
