The online portal for the ‘Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana’ launched recently, aims to generate over 3.5 crore jobs with an outlay of nearly ₹1 lakh crore, focusing on employment creation, employability, and social security across sectors, especially manufacturing. The scheme, approved by the Union Cabinet and announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, offers two-part benefits: a one-time incentive of up to ₹15,000 for first-time employees and monthly incentives of up to ₹3,000 for employers providing additional employment, with incentives spanning two years (four years for manufacturing). It targets jobs created between August 2025 and July 2027, supporting employers to hire new staff and encouraging sector-wide employment growth, with easy registration through the portal and UAN generation via Face Authentication Technology on the UMANG App.
This scheme underscores Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a developed Bharat, providing significant incentives to youth and employers to boost employment opportunities, especially in new sectors, and fostering social security and dignity for young workers.
