Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the opening day of the winter session of Parliament on Monday , highlighted the need for constructive debates and inclusivity in parliamentary proceedings, while interacted with media at Hans Dwar of Parliament House Complex in New Delhi on Nov. 25, 2024.
He criticized disruptions by a few individuals, often rejected by the public, for undermining democracy and denying new MPs the opportunity to voice their ideas. Modi called for empowering new parliamentarians, emphasizing their role in bringing fresh energy and ideas to governance. He urged senior leaders to mentor these emerging lawmakers and foster innovation while expressing hope for a productive session that enhances India’s global standing.
