Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday flagged off Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express and dedicated to the nation various developmental projects, including the Kochi Water Metro.
The water metro offers a unique urban transportation experience and is particularly valuable in cities like Kochi.
The project will begin with eight electric hybrid boats, developed by Cochin Shipyard Limited, and is funded by the Kerala government and German company KfW. The water metro system features 38 terminals and 78 electric boats, making it a significant infrastructure project that will bring great benefits to the people of Kochi.
