The Prime Minister inaugurated seven projects of POWERGRID, representing an investment of approximately rs 4000 crore, and laid the foundation stone for an upcoming project with a rs 3500 crore investment. Singh praised the transformative growth in India’s power sector, attributing it to significant projects and contributions from stakeholders, facilitating the nation’s rapid development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

- Northern Region System Strengthening Scheme – XXXV, with a project cost of Rs 124 crore, was also inaugurated.
- The Establish Transmission System for Construction of 765/400/220 kV GIS Substation in Rampur and 400/220/132 kV Substation in Sambhal, costing Rs 1165 crore, was part of the inauguration.
- Meerut Simbhavali Transmission Limited, costing Rs 1050 crore, addresses present and future load demands in the region.
- Northern Region System Strengthening – XL, with a project cost of Rs 360 crore, contributes to strengthening the national grid.
- System Strengthening Scheme in Northern Region – XXXVII, with a cost of Rs 380 crore, was inaugurated.
- North Eastern Region Strengthening Scheme – XII, costing Rs 576 crore, is part of the initiatives.
- Transmission System For Kurnool Wind Energy Zone/Solar Energy Zone (AP) Part A & Part-B, with a project cost of Rs 3547 crore, aims to enhance renewable energy integration.
