DFCCIL has partnered with IIT – Roorkee by signing a MoU for the development of Broken Rail Detection System to bolster safety and maintain the health of freight trains through early detection of rail cracks & prevent rail fractures. This DFCCIL funded initiative targets to develop a pioneering system for detection of rail/weld factures with the help of thermal cameras and monitor the propagation of cracks inside the rail.
