Three Para-athletes of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) have brought laurels to the steel city by winning multiple medals at the Odisha State Para-Athletics Championship 2024-25 held at Kaling Stadium recently.
Mr. Rudra Narayan Sahoo, Technician, Repair Shop (Electrical) won 3 Gold Medals in Shotput, Javelin and Discuss Throw in the championship while Mr. Paresh Kumar Mahato, Technician, Power Distribution Department won 2 Gold Medals in Javelin and Discuss Throw. Mr. Yogendra Kumar Dash, Office Attendant, HR (Works) won a Bronze Medal in Discuss Throw.
Mr. Rudra Narayan Sahoo has qualified for the National Championship to be held later this year.
