Muzaffarpur: NTPC Kanti has appointed Pankaj Kumar Gupta as its new Head of Project. A Chief General Manager with more than 34 years of experience in the power sector, Gupta brings extensive expertise in engineering, project management, environmental management and energy transition initiatives. An NTPC veteran, he joined the company as an Executive Trainee in 1991 and has since held several key leadership positions across the organisation, including assignments at NTPC Kahalgaon, Corporate Centre, the Energy Transition & Policy Group and NTPC Meja. Gupta holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Lucknow University and an M.Tech in Applied Mechanics from IIT Delhi, besides participating in several national and international programmes on leadership, sustainability and emerging energy technologies.
NTPC Kanti, a 390 MW power station and one of Bihar’s important generating facilities, plays a vital role in meeting the region’s growing power demand while maintaining high standards in operational efficiency, safety and environmental management. Speaking on his new assignment, Gupta said he would focus on further strengthening operational excellence, safety practices, sustainability initiatives and community engagement at the station. He expressed confidence that with the support of Team Kanti, the project would continue to achieve higher benchmarks in performance, sustainability and social responsibility.
