WeSchool and FIEO Launch 8th Batch of PGP in Foreign Trade Management

22nd September, 2025, Mumbai: Prin. L.N Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research (WeSchool), Mumbai launched the 8th Batch of the Post Graduate Programme in Foreign Trade Management (PGP-FTM). This course is conducted jointly with Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO).

The inauguration ceremony was attended by  Shri Paresh Mehta, Regional Chairman, FIEO (WR),  Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool, Shri Rishi Kant Tiwari, Regional Head, FIEO (WR) and hosted by  Shri Sharad Nileshwar, Sr. General Manager-Executive Education & Assistant Professor, WeSchool.

WeSchool and FIEO Launch 8th Batch of PGP in Foreign Trade ManagementShri Paresh Mehta, Regional Chairman, FIEO (WR) in his address stated, “The PGP-FTM is a journey that started 6 years ago, training over 250+ students & working professionals into Skilled EXIM Professionals.”

Highlighting the current scenario of Exports from India, he mentioned, “India’s total exports in the year 2024-25 increased by 6.01% reaching a record USD 824.9 Billion comprising of both Merchandise and Services exports. The PGP-FTM works in line with this vision of creating a skilled workforce as well as Entrepreneurs.”

Shri Rishi Kant Tiwari, Regional Head, FIEO (WR) during his address highlighted the opportunities in Exports and the significance of ECommerce Exports to the New Age Exporters.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool stated, “Exports is a sector of immense opportunities, however one must understand all the fundamentals of the same. More importantly, an Export Business needs to be adaptable enough in the challenging Business Environment which has moved from a VUCA (VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous)to a BANI (Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible) framework.” He hoped that the skills learnt by the students will empower them to navigate through the challenges that the global businesses posed.

Dr. Salunkhe emphasized that this PGP-FTM is designed keeping in minds this changing scenario and will provide insightful knowledge about every importance aspect of an International Business.

The 8th Batch of the 11 month Post Graduate Programme in Foreign Trade Management (PGP-FTM) commences this month and will be conducted every Sunday at WeSchool Campus, Matunga.
