NEW DELHI. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and bp have signed a Technical Services Contract to enhance production from ONGC’s mature fields in the Western Offshore Basin of the Arabian Sea. As India’s most prolific offshore hydrocarbon region, the area is critical to national energy security. Building on recent progress at Mumbai High, the collaboration will deploy advanced technologies and global expertise to maximize recovery efficiency, moderate natural decline, and sustain long-term oil and gas output. Under the terms of the agreement, ONGC will retain complete ownership and full operational control of all assets.
