Shri S.R. Narasimhan, CMD, Grid-India addressed the session on ‘One Sun One World One Grid (OSOWOG)’ chaired by Union Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy Shri R K Singh, during the Minister/CEO-level dialogues conducted on the ministerial day of CEM-14/MI-8 being held in Goa.
The session brought together various governments across the world, private sector actors, and international experts to strengthen #collaboration and better coordinate on crucial topics for the clean energy future. In addition to the various benefits regional and global grid-interconnections, he specifically mentioned the benefits in handling variable RE with a larger grid footprint. He also mentioned about low probability high impact events which are better handled in large interconnection while also improving the resilience in the grid.
