NTPC records 438.6 BU of Total Generation Up By 3.88% YOY

NTPC Ltd  has demonstrated impressive growth in its operational performance during the financial year 2024-25, achieving a 3.88% increase in total power generation compared to the previous year. The NTPC Group generated 438.6 Billion Units (BU) in FY25, surpassing the previous year’s output of 422.2 BU, reflecting the company’s commitment to delivering reliable and affordable power to the nation.

Additionally, NTPC expanded its installed capacity by 3,972 MW, bringing the total to approximately 80 GW, with an additional 32 GW—including 15 GW of renewable capacity—currently under construction. The company aims to achieve 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032 and has ventured into various new business areas such as e-mobility, battery storage, pumped hydro storage, Waste-to-Energy, nuclear power, and green hydrogen solutions, as well as participating in power distribution bidding for Union Territories. With a diverse portfolio of thermal, hydro, solar, and wind power plants, NTPC is dedicated to providing sustainable electricity, adopting best practices, fostering innovation, and embracing clean energy technologies for a greener future, contributing to one-fourth of India’s power requirements.
