RANCHI. NTPC Mining Limited has achieved a major milestone by surpassing 200 million metric tonnes of cumulative coal production, underscoring its growing contribution to India’s energy security. The achievement comes nearly a decade after the company commenced coal production from the Pakri Barwadih coal mine in 2017. NTPC Mining attributed the milestone to operational excellence, continuous innovation and a strong focus on safety across its mining operations. The company said the achievement reinforces its commitment to supporting the country’s energy requirements and advancing the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat through enhanced domestic coal production.
