KORBA. Nearly 24 hours after all seven units of a NTPC power plant in Chhattisgarh’s Korba city tripped following an electrical fault, three generating units were revived on Saturday, officials said.
All seven units had tripped shortly after 6 pm on Friday following an electrical fault at the public sector undertaking plant in the Darri area, an NTPC official said.
At 6 pm on Saturday, three generating units at NTPC Korba — two units of 500 MW each and one unit of 200 MW — were successfully revived following yesterday’s blackout,” NTPC’s public relations officer Ushma Ghosh said.
