NTPC has been conferred as the First Runner-Up in the prestigious 2024 UN Women India WEPs (Women’s Empowerment Principles) Award in the category “Community Engagement & Partnerships” for its flagship CSR Project “Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM)”. NTPC is the only PSU receiving this prestigious award.
NTPC’s Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) empowers school-going girls from underprivileged communities in the vicinity of its power stations through education, skill development, and life-skills training. Launched in 2018, GEM has reached over 10,000 girls, fostering greater gender equality and brighter futures.
