An insightful training session was conducted by a Shri Jaikumar Srinivasan, Director (Finance) as part of the Workshop on CPSU Financial Reporting & Auditing – Managing Finances in Regulatory Framework for the officer trainees of the Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IA&AS) at National Academy of Audit & Accounts, Shimla on 18th June.
The session delved into the evolving landscape of financial reporting and statutory compliance within Central Public Sector Undertakings particularly the Maharatna companies, offering a nuanced understanding of regulatory obligations, internal controls, and emerging challenges in public sector financial governance.
Through practical examples of NTPC and interactive exchange, Director (Finance) updated the trainees’ perspective on maintaining transparency, accountability, and fiscal prudence in CPSU operations—equipping them to deal with complex financial frameworks with clarity and confidence.
