NEW DELHI. NTPC Dadri distributed bicycles to 288 Class VIII girl students from 24 schools located in the surrounding villages, with the objective of reducing barriers to education and encouraging continued academic participation among rural girls. The initiative aims to facilitate safe and convenient access to schools, particularly for students residing in remote areas.
The bicycle distribution programme was marked by a bicycle rally, which was flagged off in the presence of the Head of Project, senior NTPC officials, members of Jagriti Samaj, village heads, school principals, teachers and parents. The occasion reflected strong community participation and support for girls’ education.
Stakeholders present on the occasion appreciated NTPC Dadri’s sustained commitment towards community development and women empowerment through its various Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, which continue to create positive social impact in the region.
