NEW DELHI: NTPC Bongaigaon has been honoured with the CSR Health Impact Award 2025 under the category of *CSR Preventive Project (Rural)* for its impactful cancer screening and awareness initiative conducted in collaboration with the Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF), a joint venture between the Government of Assam and Tata Trusts. The project has reached and benefited over 70,000 people in rural areas of Kokrajhar district through community-based screening and awareness programmes focusing on early detection of oral, breast, and cervical cancers.
The award was presented by Ms. Vimala R, IAS, Resident Commissioner and Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, and Ms. Nikky Gupta, Founder of Teamwork Communications, at a ceremony held in New Delhi. Shri Shubham Pandey, Assistant Law Officer, NTPC Bongaigaon, received the award on behalf of the 750 MW power station. The recognition underscores NTPC Bongaigaon’s strong commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and its ongoing efforts to enhance preventive healthcare, strengthen rural medical infrastructure, and promote holistic community development.
