NTPC laid the foundation stone for a new residential dormitory for reelers and weavers at Bodoland Silk Park, Department of Sericulture, Bodoland Territorial Council(BTC) at Kokrajhar., Shri Sudip Nag, Regional Executive Director (ER-I and ER-II) laid the foundation stone .
This project made at estimated cost of approximately Rs. 50 lakhs is a part of NTPC Bongaigaon’s CSR initiative that demonstrates the company’s dedication to sustainable development and social responsibility.
Shri Akhilesh Singh reiterated NTPC Bongaigaon’s focus on creating local employment, empowering women, and boosting income generation for the region’s residents. “Our initiatives aim to uplift the socio-economic status of the local community, and this dormitory is a crucial step in that direction,” he stated.
