NTPC Bongaigaon, under the aegis of its Sports Council, recently distributed football kits to NTPC Football Club (NTPC FC), a team comprised of local football talent from the surrounding areas. The event, graced by Shri Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, highlighted the company’s commitment to promoting sportsmanship and regional pride. NTPC FC, registered under the Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA), has been actively participating in A Division and league matches across the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), gaining recognition as a symbol of grassroots talent nurtured through corporate support. Shri Maitra praised the dedication of the players and expressed confidence in their upcoming Super Division matches, reaffirming NTPC’s focus on structured youth engagement through sports and other community development initiatives.
