NTPC Bongaigaon Inaugurates Residential Dormitory for Artisans at Bodoland Silk Park

NTPC Bongaigaon has reached a significant milestone in its commitment to community development with the inauguration of a residential dormitory for reelers and weavers at Bodoland Silk Park, Kokrajhar, under its CSR program. This initiative aims to enhance livelihoods across the Bodoland region and is part of a broader plan to benefit nearly 10,000 artisans. Smt. Abha Jadli, Senior Member of the Sanyukta Mahila Samiti, inaugurated the dormitory in the presence of key dignitaries and community leaders. In her address, she highlighted NTPC’s people- and planet-first approach and praised the collaboration with the Department of Sericulture as a powerful example of inclusive growth. During her visit, Smt. Abha Jadli also toured the sericulture unit, interacted with artisans, and visited the Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Centre operated by NTPC Bongaigaon in partnership with the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club and Tusti Foundation, concluding her day by addressing the General Body Meeting at the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club.
