NTPC Bongaigaon, as part of its CSR efforts to promote community health and women empowerment, partnered with the District Administration of Kokrajhar and Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club to donate seven sanitary napkin incinerators—five to Bodoland University and two to Kokrajhar University. The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including officials from the district administration, university representatives, and NTPC’s CSR team, who emphasized the importance of hygienic and eco-friendly menstrual waste disposal in creating a safe and dignified environment for women students.
During the occasion, Bodoland University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) B.L. Ahuja, expressed gratitude to NTPC for its support, highlighting how such initiatives help address menstrual hygiene challenges, break societal taboos, and foster confidence among young women. The initiative underscores NTPC Bongaigaon’s ongoing commitment to health and education projects in the Bodoland Territorial Region, aiming for inclusive and sustainable development through collaborative efforts.
