Bongaigaon: NTPC Bongaigaon organised an awareness session on the New Labour Laws for Engineers-in-Charge, contract workers and Heads of Departments to enhance understanding of recent statutory reforms and strengthen workplace compliance. The session was addressed by Ms. Parineeta, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Guwahati, who explained key provisions of the new labour codes and their implications for employers, contractors and workers, stressing fair labour practices, safety, welfare measures and shared responsibility.
Shri Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, highlighted the organisation’s commitment to ethical labour practices and statutory compliance, noting their importance in safeguarding workers’ rights and maintaining industrial harmony. Shri Anurag Gupta, General Manager (O&M), also emphasised the operational relevance of compliance. The interactive session witnessed active participation and reaffirmed NTPC Bongaigaon’s focus on capacity building, legal compliance and fostering a safe, fair and inclusive workplace.
