NTPC begins work at its hydrogen hub in Andhra Pradesh

A non-binding MoU has been signed with the Government of Andhra Pradesh fordevelopment of a hydrogen hub near Visakhapatnam.

“NTPC is entering into hydrogen and energy storage solutions in a big way… Recently, work for a hydrogen hub at Pudimadaka, Andhra Pradesh was initiated. Also, a storage tender for 9000 MWh has been opened,” said Jaikumar Srinivasan, director – finance, NTPC, at its Q4 FY23 earnings conference call.

He added that a non-binding MoU has been signed with the Government of Andhra .
