No LPG Supply Shortage in Country: Govt

NEW DELHI. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has said there are no reports of gas supply dry-outs at LPG distributorships across the country. The Ministry stated that LPG bookings have declined, with about 77 lakh bookings recorded yesterday compared to around 88 lakh on the 13th of this month. It added that several states and Union Territories, including Bihar, Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan, have issued orders for allocation of non-domestic LPG as per government guidelines, while commercial LPG cylinders have been made available for priority distribution in 30 states and UTs. The Ministry also confirmed that no fuel shortages have been reported at retail outlets by oil marketing companies and advised citizens to avoid panic buying, assuring that adequate stocks of petrol and diesel are available nationwide.
