NMDC Invites Applications for 200 Fully Sponsored Nursing Seats for ST Girls Under Balika Shiksha Yojana

NMDC nursing seats for ST girls 2026

RAIPUR. NMDC has invited applications for 200 fully sponsored nursing seats for the 2026–27 academic year. The programme offers 110 B.Sc. Nursing seats and 90 General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) seats specifically to eligible Scheduled Tribe (ST) girls from six districts in Chhattisgarh: Bastar, Dantewada, Sukma, Bijapur, Kondagaon, and Narayanpur.

To qualify, applicants must be aged 17–35, hail from families with an annual income not exceeding ₹72,000, and have completed Class XII in the Science stream with English. B.Sc. Nursing applicants are additionally required to have qualified NEET-2026. NMDC fully funds the education—investing up to ₹12 lakh per student annually—covering tuition, lodging, uniforms, books, and exam fees at premier institutions across South India.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online via the Careers section of NMDC’s official website from July 22 to August 5, 2026. Applicants must upload scanned copies of their academic marksheets, caste, income, and domicile certificates, government photo identification, passport photograph, signature, and NEET scorecard (if applicable). Selection will be finalized based on a 30-mark offline written exam covering Science, English, and General Knowledge, followed by document verification and medical screening, with preference given to residents near NMDC project areas. Since inception, the scheme has empowered hundreds of tribal girls, with roughly 80 per cent of graduates returning to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in Chhattisgarh’s rural and tribal belts.
