HYDERABAD. NMDC is embracing advanced mining technology to support its goal of reaching a 100 million tonnes production capacity while making its operations cleaner, safer, and more efficient. As a major step in this direction, the company is introducing the In-Pit Crushing and Conveying system, which transforms how mined material is transported. Unlike traditional operations that rely heavily on large fleets of haul trucks to move ore from pits to processing plants—a process that consumes massive amounts of fuel, increases operational risks, and generates significant dust and carbon emissions—this new technology offers a far more sustainable and streamlined alternative for the future of mining.
