The 16th Public Sector Day was observed by NLCIL today (10.04.2025) at a function held at the Corporate Office, Neyveli. Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD, NLCIL hoisted the PSU flag and the NLCIL flag in the presence of Dr. Suresh Chandra Suman, Director (Mines) and P&P (Addl.Charge), Shri Samir Swarup, Director (HR), Shri M. Venkatachalam, Director (Power) and Thiru Appakannu Govindarajan, IPoS, CVO, NLCIL, senior officials, representatives of recognized Trade Unions, Engineers and Officers’ Associations, Welfare Associations, Forum of Women in Public Sector (WIPS) and employees.
The Public Sector Day is observed every year on 10th April, under the aegis of SCOPE (Standing Conference of Public Enterprises) – the apex professional body representing the Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), with the objective of creating awareness among the general public about the role and sustained contribution rendered by Central Public Sector Enterprises in scripting the ‘Growth Story’ of India.
