NEW DELHI. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved Rs 26,069.50 crore for the 1720 MW Kamala Hydro Electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh. NHPC Limited will build the project jointly with the state government across three districts. The plant is expected to generate 6,870 MUs of electricity annually and will take 96 months to complete.
