NHPC Celebrates International Women’s Day with Focus on Women-Led Development

FARIDABAD. NHPC organized a special program at its Corporate Office in Faridabad on March 10, 2026, to celebrate International Women’s Day. Addressing the gathering, Shri Bhupender Gupta, CMD, NHPC, lauded the dedication and professionalism of women employees, noting their vital role in the company’s success. Aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision of “Women-Led Development,” he emphasized that empowering women is crucial for both national progress and a progressive workplace. The event, co-organized with WIPS-NHPC, was broadcast live to all NHPC locations, inspiring employees nationwide to lead with confidence.

The program featured addresses from senior leadership, including Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel); Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects); Shri Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical); and Shri Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance). These dignitaries acknowledged the valuable contributions of the female workforce and reaffirmed NHPC’s commitment to nurturing an inclusive and motivating work culture. By focusing on gender equality and leadership opportunities, the leadership team pledged continued support for the growth and empowerment of women within the organization.
