Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC, participated as a distinguished panelist at India Energy Week 2026, held in Goa, in a leadership panel discussion titled Breaking Energy’s Gender Barriers: Addressing Workforce Disparities for Women and Under-representation in Leadership Roles.”*
The session brought together global leaders from the energy sector to deliberate on advancing diversity, inclusion, and equitable leadership across the industry. During the discussion, Shri Uttam Lal highlighted NHPC’s people-first philosophy and emphasized the importance of progressive HR policies, inclusive workplace practices, and sustained leadership commitment in empowering women across technical, operational, and decision-making roles.
