NETRA has been honoured with the “Technology Innovation – Best CCUS Initiative” award at Thermal Energy Decarbonisation (TED) India 2025 by Mission Energy Foundation.This recognition is for our CO2-to-Green Methanol R&D Plant (3,000 TPA) at NTPC Vindhyachal, which has successfully produced ASTM Grade-A methanol — a key step towards sustainable energy and carbon neutrality.
The green methanol can be used for co-firing in boilers, methanol gas engines or supplied as green fuel, showcasing a scalable pathway to a circular carbon economy and strengthening NTPC’s role as a global leader in green molecules.
