NCRTC opens its Site Office in Gurugram

Gurugram: A good public transport system is the backbone of any city. It has the potential to bring social and economic benefits to society. RRTS is one of such projects which is going to transform the way people travel using public transport in NCR.

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) took another step towards ensuring timely execution of its project by commissioning its site office in Gurugram for executing the Delhi-Gurugram- SNB (Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror Urban Complex) RRTS corridor.

The office is located at Sector 15 and will be headed by Chief Project Manager (CPM) Gurugram. This corridor is a part of the Delhi-Gurugram-Alwar corridor.

The pre-construction activities like Geotechnical Investigation and Utility Diversion are in progress on the stretch. The Initial Pile Load test will be carried out in June 2019.

The high-speed rail will cover the distance from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to SNB in approximately 70 minutes. It is a new, dedicated, high-speed, high-capacity, comfortable rail-based commuter service connecting regional nodes of NCR to Delhi.

This RRTS smart line will pass through the urbanized and industrialized areas of Haryana and connect Delhi airport with the RRTS network. The corridor will strengthen the regional transport infrastructure by providing a fast, safe, comfortable and reliable mobility option to the residents of Delhi, Gurugram, Rewari, Manesar, Daruheda, Bawal and nearby
