Singrauli: Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Singrauli district administration to support the construction of three new ponds under the Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, NCL will provide financial assistance of ₹25 lakh for the project, which aims to strengthen water conservation and groundwater recharge efforts in the region. The ponds will be constructed in Sulkhan Khurd, Naikhawa and Korsar villages of Chitrangi block in Singrauli district.
The MoU was formally signed by Rajeev Ranjan, General Manager (CSR), NCL, and Jagdish Gome, Chief Executive Officer (Panchayat), Singrauli District Administration. The initiative reflects the shared commitment of NCL and the district administration towards sustainable water management and environmental conservation while enhancing local water resources for the benefit of rural communities.
