NEW DELHI. The Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat train service achieved a major milestone by recording its highest-ever daily ridership of approximately 1,25,500 commuters. This surge reflects a broader trend, with the corridor now averaging around 1 lakh passengers every day. The rapid growth highlights a significant shift in regional travel patterns, as commuters increasingly choose Namo Bharat over other options for its speed, punctuality, and overall reliability.
To effectively manage this growing passenger demand, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation recently introduced 18 additional train trips during peak hours. This enhancement particularly benefits officegoers, students, and regular commuters who rely on time-bound public transport. By substantially reducing travel times across the National Capital Region, the service has firmly established itself as a preferred choice for daily transit.
