MP Power Management Company and NTPC sign contract

Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company signed a contract with NTPC to secure electricity for the state’s long-term energy needs in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.

Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar and Additional Chief Secretary of Energy Shri Neeraj Mandloi were also in attendance at the signing ceremony. The contract was formalized between the Managing Director of the Power Management Company, Shri Avinash Lavania, and the General Manager of NTPC, Shri Shankar Saran.

Shri PK Mishra, Regional Executive Director of NTPC’s West Region, announced that NTPC is in the process of setting up two units of 800 megawatts each under Stage-2 at Gadarwada in Narsinghpur.

Of the total capacity, 800 megawatts will be allocated to Madhya Pradesh based on the rates established by the Central Regulatory Commission. The objective is to commence production from these units by 2030-31. Currently, NTPC has installed two units of 800 megawatts each in Stage-1 at Gadarwada, from which Madhya Pradesh is already receiving 800 megawatts of electricity.
