MoSPI and IICA Collaborate to Develop a Unified SDG Alignment Framework for Viksit Bharat

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) to develop a comprehensive SDG alignment framework. This initiative aims to integrate national, state, ESG, and CSR indicators to support India’s vision of Viksit Bharat. The framework will build on the existing National Indicator Framework (NIF) to create a harmonized system that aligns state-level indicators with national priorities and incorporates ESG and CSR dimensions, thereby bridging various sustainability efforts across government and corporate sectors. This integrated approach is expected to enhance evidence-based policymaking, promote sustainable corporate participation, and advance the country’s development agenda through coherent SDG monitoring and implementation.
