The Rajbhasha unit of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has been organizing exclusive Rajbhasha Programmes at different departments to mark the observance of ‘Rajbhasha Pakhwada’ at RSP. It is noteworthy that the observance of the fortnight began at RSP with the celebration of Hindi Divas on 14th September, 2024. Numerous competitions like Quiz competition, Story writing, Poetry recitation are being organized by the Rajbhasha Unit among employees, contract workers as well as students of RSP run schools. The competitions are generating great interest and witnessing huge participation. The programmes were chaired by the Heads of the respective units and Senior Officers.
About 850 employees participated in the quiz competitions organized in 24 zones of the steel plant. Besides a transliteration competition was organised for the Hindi Adhikaris of different departments.
Similarly, Rajbhasha Quiz competitions were organized for contract workers in which around 80 persons took part.
A quiz competition organised at Ispat English Medium School, Sector-20, witnessed more than 150 students in the fray.
The winners will be awarded at a award ceremony scheduled to be organized at Gopabandhu Auditorium of RSP on 26th September, 2026.
The events were coordinated by Public Relations – Rajbhasha unit in collaboration with Departmental Hindi Adhikaris.
