In a significant move to bolster the leadership capabilities within India’s Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), in collaboration with the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), has unveiled the ‘DAKSH’ program—an initiative aimed at advancing the leadership competencies of senior executives in CPSEs.
As CPSEs continue to play a pivotal role in the country’s socio-economic landscape, contributing over 13% to India’s GDP, the need for agile and future-ready leaders has never been more pressing.
Mission Karmayogi, a nationwide initiative to enhance the competence of civil servants, including those in CPSEs, underpins the importance of such leadership programs.
The CBC and SCOPE also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the committee members instrumental in shaping the program: Mr. Ayush Gupta (GAIL), Mr. K K Singh (SAIL), Mr. Vinay Ranjan (CIL), Mr. Suresh Shetty (HPCL), Mr. Yogi Sriram (L&T), and Mr. Ashutosh Telang (ArcelorMittal).
The launch of the DAKSH program is a strategic step toward empowering the next generation of leaders in CPSEs, ensuring that they are well-equipped to lead their organizations through the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
