The Ministry of Power has been awarded with a Certificate in recognition for its outstanding performance and significant contributions as the *”Best Performing Ministry” under the prestigious PM-JANMAN initiative. The certificate was given by the President of India to Secretary (Power), Shri Pankaj Agarwal for the dedication and commitment displayed towards advancing tribal welfare, empowerment and inclusive development. Significant contributions of MoP under the initiative include: – Special Monitoring Committee meetings convened for fast-track approvals. – Norms relaxed and ceiling cost increased under RDSS. – Rs 522 crores sanctioned for electrification of PVTG households. – Of 1.43 lakh PVTG households sanctioned, more than 1.3 lakh households electrified till date. – Remaining to complete by December 2025.
