Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL)has taken up a CSR project “Saksham” costing Rs 7.5 crore, that will provide 500 e-rickshaws to Divyang Jan in Odisha. This initiative is designed to empower needy Divyang people to earn their livelihood with dignity within their communities.
A MoU for this project was signed today with the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Odisha. The occasion was graced by Shri Amrit Lal Meena, Secretary Coal, Shri PM Prasad, Chairman, Coal India and Shri Uday Anant Kaole, CMD, MCL.
This project reaffirms MCL’s commitment to social responsibility, focusing on enhancing mobility and livelihood to support an inclusive society.
