Barsua Iron Mines (BIM) belonging to the Odisha Group on Mines of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), has developed a picturesque Jungle Viewpoint at Tensa township to promote nature appreciation and community well-being. Mr. Himansu Mishra, CGM (BIM-TIM) inaugurated the view point in a function organised on 7th January 2025. Present on the occasion were Mr. N.C. Panda, GM (HR – BIM, TIM, KIM), Mr. Parimal Bansal, GM (F&A – BIM, TIM, KIM) other Senior Officers, students, athletes and residents of Tensa township.
The viewpoint that provides a stunning panoramic view of the lush Tensa jungle has tiled raised platforms and railing for safety. This offers a serene retreat for residents and visitors alike. It is expected to become a popular destination for residents to relax, rejuvenate and appreciate the natural surroundings.
The initiative was coordinated by the Civil Department of BIM-TIM.
