Shri Joydeep Dasgupta has joined NMDC Ltd as director (Production) of NMDC on Friday. He will serve in the position till April 30, 2028 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
He began his professional journey in 1991 as a Management Trainee at SAIL’s Raw Materials Division and progressed to key leadership positions, including his most recent role as Executive Director (Mines) at SAIL.
He also served as the CEO of International Coal Ventures Pvt. Ltd. (ICVL), where he oversaw the operation of coal mining assets in Mozambique. Under his leadership, ICVL ensured the seamless supply of coking and thermal coal to Indian promoter companies.
