Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) marked the conclusion of its Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 with a valedictory ceremony at its Registered Office. The event was attended by several esteemed officials, including Pradip Kumar Das, CMD , and Ajay Kumar Sahani, Chief Vigilance Officer, alongside Nitin Kumar, Joint Secretary of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), who served as the Chief Guest. During the ceremony, CMD Das emphasized IREDA’s innovative approaches to preventive vigilance, notably its pioneering Whistle Blower Portal launched in 2021 and the subsequent Complaints Portal in 2022, aimed at enhancing transparency and efficient complaint handling.
Nitin Kumar shared insights on the CVC’s role, highlighting the significance of Preventive Vigilance in combating corruption through both preventive and punitive measures. The event also saw the release of IREDA’s in-house vigilance journal, ‘Pahal,’ symbolizing its steadfast commitment to fostering vigilance awareness and integrity. The Vigilance Awareness Week, observed from October 28th to November 3rd, included various workshops, seminars, and competitions, all designed to promote a culture of integrity and transparency among IREDA employees.
