NEW DELHI. Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia has said India Post has achieved a record revenue of 15 thousand 296 crore in the financial year 2025-26, registering a robust growth of 16% over the previous fiscal. While briefing the media after presiding over the Annual Business Meet, the Minister reviewed the annual business performance of the Department of Posts during a meeting held in New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Scindia said the achievement marks a significant milestone in the Department’s transformation from a traditional cost centre into a revenue-driven and citizen-centric organisation. He highlighted strong growth across key business verticals, including parcels, mail, Post Office Savings Bank, Postal Life Insurance, and citizen-centric services.

The Minister noted that the parcels segment recorded the growth of 69%, while mail services grew by 34%. He added that citizen-centric services also saw a sharp increase of 70%. Mr Scindia also underlined the importance of newly introduced premium services such as 24 Speed Post, 24 Speed Post Parcel, and 48 Speed Post, stating that these are strengthening India Post’s logistics capabilities and meeting the growing demand for time-bound delivery. The Minister emphasised that future growth will be driven by enhanced logistics capabilities, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making. He called for focused execution and region-specific strategies to achieve the Department’s long-term vision of becoming a profit centre.

Concluding the review, the Minister appreciated the efforts of employees and reiterated the Department’s commitment to its guiding motto, Dak Sewa, Jan Sewa, aligned with the vision of a developed India.
