Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Durgadas Uikey today launched, world’s first Digital Tribal University- Adi Sanskriti, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Highlighting the University, Mr. Uikey said that Adi Sanskriti is a digital academy and e learning platform with an online marketplace for tribal art culture, crafts, and knowledge systems for national and global audiences. He added that it will create new opportunities for cultural preservation and the creation of livelihoods. Addressing the national conference on Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan with Project Officers of Integrated Tribal Development Agency, the Minister said that preserving tribal heritage is not just about safeguarding culture, but also about ensuring dignity, empowerment and opportunities at the grassroots level.
