NEW DELHI. The Indian Institute of Sustainable Development (IISD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) to collaborate in areas of national and global importance, including sustainability, trade, management education and policy research. The MoU was signed under the leadership of Dr. Srikanta K. Panigrahi, Distinguished Research Fellow and Director General, IISD-CMI, in the presence of CA Manindra K. Tiwari, Director (Finance and IC), IISD-CMI, and Prof. Rakesh Mohan Joshi, Vice Chancellor, IIFT, along with Registrar Shri Gaurav Gulati. The programme was attended by senior faculty members and officials from both institutions, with formal introductions and mutual felicitations marking the occasion.
The agreement was received with enthusiasm and reflects a shared commitment to collective efforts in sustainability-focused education and research. The MoU lays the foundation for joint academic and research initiatives, including executive education, training and capacity building programmes, and management development programmes, as well as other mutually agreed activities. By combining their complementary strengths and shared values, IISD and IIFT aim to deliver world-class education in ESG and business sustainability, strengthening collaboration among academic, industry and institutional stakeholders and advancing the goal of a more sustainable planet.
