Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in a major move to strengthen India’s innovation and startup ecosystem. In promoting startup-driven innovation, HPCL is the first Maharatna PSU to formally partner with DPIIT.
The MoU was signed by Sandeep Maheshwari, Executive Director – CS & BD, HPCL, and T. Lalit K. Singh, Deputy Secretary, DPIIT, in the presence of Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, and R. Sella Prabhu, GM – Business Development (CS&BD), along with other senior dignitaries from both organizations.
Through this collaboration, HPCL and DPIIT hope to empower startups in line with national energy and sustainability goals by utilising institutional support, funding, and mentorship.
