HAL Chairman D. K. Sunil has reaffirmed the safety and reliability of India’s Tejas fighter aircraft, stating that its safety record is among the best in the world. Describing the recent crash at the Dubai Airshow as an “unfortunate incident,” he emphasised that it will have no impact on the aircraft’s future deployment or operational confidence.
Sunil reiterated that Tejas remains “absolutely safe,” backed by years of strong performance, rigorous testing, and proven operational capability. He added that the incident does not diminish the aircraft’s credibility, and HAL continues to stand firmly behind the indigenous fighter’s technological excellence and operational readiness.
