AYODHYA. The Gujarat government, through the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd (TCGL), has initiated the construction of an Rs 80.25-crore Yatri Niwas in Ayodhya. Built across nearly 7,000 square meters in a new township, the complex will accommodate 308 pilgrims and features a large hall designed to seat over 800 visitors. The facility is expected to open within a year to support the growing surge of devotees following the Ram Temple consecration.
In addition to guest rooms, the Yatri Niwas will offer dining areas, a reception lounge, an auditorium, meeting spaces, and a souvenir shop. Landscaping, terrace gardens, and digital displays are also planned to create a comfortable, home-like environment, making organized religious and cultural trips smoother for visitors traveling from Gujarat.
